A new way to define, own, and realize artworks.
Futuro Spatial is an invitation-only registry and marketplace for RTBs. Each Right to Build is artist-authorized, numbered, and transferable—the right to realize a defined artwork under its recorded conditions.
The RTB is the asset.
Each RTB joins the artist’s authorization to a defined artwork. Its authenticated record establishes the work’s identity, numbered edition, governing conditions, non-negotiable qualities, realization route, acceptance authority, and provenance.
The owner may hold, transfer, or use the RTB to initiate an authorized realization. The RTB is not the fabricated artwork; materials, fabrication, and professional services remain separate unless expressly included.
How it works
The RTB can exist before the artwork is built.
Define
The artist defines the artwork, authorizes a numbered RTB edition, and records the conditions that preserve its identity.
Acquire
A member acquires a specific RTB. The authenticated registry records the right and its new holder.
Hold or transfer
The owner may keep the RTB, place it in a collection, or offer it for resale without first realizing the artwork.
Realize
When ready, the owner may initiate an authorized realization under the RTB’s recorded conditions and acceptance process.
Frequently asked questions
A few things people ask before they begin.
Is an RTB the same as an NFT?
No. An RTB is not a speculative digital token. It is an artist-authorized, numbered right to realize a defined artwork under recorded conditions. Authenticity is established by its registry record and compliance with the RTBPack.
What if I never build the work?
You do not have to realize the artwork. An owner may hold or transfer the RTB while it remains unrealized, subject to its recorded conditions.
Does the RTB price include fabrication or installation?
No. The price covers the authenticated RTB and its registry transfer. It does not include a physical object, materials, engineering, fabrication, finishing, transport, insurance, storage, site work, permits, installation, maintenance, artist oversight, or other professional services unless expressly stated.
Does Futuro Spatial manage or guarantee the build?
No. Futuro Spatial records ownership, authorization, and realization documentation. The owner selects, contracts, and pays the realization team. Futuro Spatial does not guarantee cost, schedule, feasibility, or completion unless separately engaged in writing.
Who may fabricate the work?
The RTB's realization conditions identify the permitted route: the artist's studio, artist-approved providers, or any qualified provider, as declared by the artist. The owner separately contracts the allowed realization team.
Can the artist add more RTBs to the edition later?
No. The number of RTBs is fixed when the work is published and cannot later be expanded.
What happens after the artwork is realized?
The completed realization is documented in the registry and linked to its RTB record. The realization must satisfy the artwork's recorded conditions and acceptance process.
Do I need a crypto wallet?
No. RTBs are managed directly through a Futuro Spatial account.
How do I get started?
